Winter Reads for adults (18+) runs January through February 2025, prizes will be drawn for shortly after that. Read or listen to books, do reviews, and enter to win one of our grand prizes!

What's new this year: Anyone who enters reviews will be able to select the gift card they want to try to win, plus we have a bookmark contest.

How to Register: You can register online or on the Beanstack Tracker app (available in your app store). You can also register at your library, just ask a librarian. If you've done the program before or if your family has done Summer Reading or 1000 Books Before Kindergarten online, you have an account already. Once you sign in, make sure to sign up for the 2025 Winter Reads program.

Doing Reviews: Reviews can be done on the website, using the Beanstack Tracker app, or using paper forms that will be available at all library locations when the program goes live. We may use any reviews in our social media, though we'll remove identifying information if at all possible.

Bookmark Contest: Every library location will select one winner for a book, library, or reading themed bookmark art contest. Winners will get a $15 gift card, their bookmark printed and distributed, and the original framed with a certificate. One entry per person. You must use our form (available here and in the libraries when the program starts.

Note that by entering this contest, you confirm that your entry is an original work, written entirely by you. Entries must not be plagiarized, copied, or written with assistance from other sources. Any evidence to the contrary will result in immediate disqualification.

Prizes

• While supplies last, you get a prize just for registering for the program (these can be picked up once the program starts).
• When you turn in your first review, you get a coupon for a free item of ($2 or less) from any book sale at any Carver County Library locations (either the ones at the libraries at all times, or the larger ones) good through 2025.
• We will draw for our grand prizes in March.
• Prizes must be picked up at a Carver County Library by April 1, 2025.
