Meeting room requests are subject to the Library Board meeting room policy and meeting room guidelines and cost. Please note that the information below regarding room capacity reflects the current status. You're responsible for everything included in the policy when you make a request.  Any group or individual who abuses meeting room privileges can be denied future use of the meeting rooms. 

Please be advised:

  • Room bookings or cancelations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
  • You may only schedule meetings up to four months in advance.
  • You may only have up to four meetings scheduled at a time.
  • Rooms are available during open hours only.
    • Your meeting must be finished and the room clean by the time the library closes.
  • Rooms can be used by any organization (non-profit or for-profit) for educational, cultural, civic or recreational purposes.
    • There is a charge for for-profit groups to use the rooms.
  • Rooms can't be used by the public for commercial purposes, fundraising, or sales.
  • Meeting room reservations are allowed for private individuals or study groups in the Lovelace Room only.
  • The library reserves the right to ask any group to change the time or date of its meeting if the room is needed for library purposes.
  • All meetings must be supervised by at least one adult.

Chanhassen Library has multiple meeting rooms, see this brochure for a visual.  A mobile cart with monitor, DVD player and HDMI connection is available on a first come, first served basis for use in the rooms. See the information desk for availability. Request a Chanhassen Library meeting room

  • The Lovelace room has a capacity of 6
  • The Lewis room has a capacity of 12
  • The Longfellow room has a capacity of 20
  • The Wilder room has a capacity of 100, it has a screen and projector available.

Chaska Library has study rooms you can reserve. Request the Chaska study room. 

Norwood Young America Library has one meeting room with a capacity of 12.  Request the Norwood Young America Library meeting room.

Once you fill out a meeting room request, you will typically get a response within a few business days.
